Well known Irish instrumentalist Tara Breen has announced the release of her long awaited debut solo album Sooner or Later which will be released on 7th March 2025.

Hailing from Ruan in Co. Clare, Tara is a highly sought after musician who has garnered praise and respect for her unique style of playing which is deeply rooted in the Irish Traditional music genre. Sooner or Later is centered around a collection of old and new music which Tara has collected and composed from experiences of her musical past and present. These melodies represent a current reflection on where her music has grown from the ground up through her surroundings in her native Co. Clare.

Tara said: “The music on this album is a collection of tunes that I have learned from some of the biggest influences on my music to date. I have also felt confident enough to include self composed music for the first time and find it to be a positive way of paying respect and showing appreciation to the people they were penned for. Having spent my professional music career releasing music with bands and ensembles to date, this is my first time exposing my solo music to the Irish traditional community. I decided to call the album Sooner or Later because of my hesitation in recent years to take the step into the musical world of a solo artist. ”

Tara Breen is a highly acclaimed Irish musician and a celebrated figure in the world of traditional Irish music. Born and raised in County Clare, a region renowned for its vibrant musical heritage, Tara developed a deep connection to Irish music from a young age. Hugely influenced by her musician father Martin, her mastery of the fiddle and her passion for traditional tunes have earned her widespread recognition, both at home in Ireland and on the international stage.

Tara's musical journey began in her early childhood when she was introduced to the fiddle, an instrument that would become central to her life and career.
